Homemade Mint Sauce Recipe

If you have lamb for Sunday lunch then homemade mint sauce is pretty much a necessity, it is so simple and given how easy it is to grow mint at home, it can be incredibly cheap!

Ingredients

  • 25 g Fresh Mint Leaves ½ packed cup (unchopped)
  • 1½ teaspoon Caster Sugar
  • 1-1½ tablespoon Malt Vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 35 ml Boiling Water 2 tablespoon + 1 Tsp

Instructions

  • Finely chop the mint leaves and add them to a bowl.
  • Add the sugar, salt, vinegar and boiling water, stir until dissolved, and allow to cool completely.
    • I like to pound the sauce in a pestle and mortar after everything has been mixed together. This is optional.
