A good pie is a thing of great beauty! Many of these pie recipes are some of my favourite things to eat.
As is so often the case with food, many claim there are "rules". I firmly believe that rules are only rules if they can be enforced.
So as far as I am concerned, I don't care if it is a stew with a lid, a completely enclosed in pastry, or even topped with potato... It's a pie and it is beautiful!
